US—ChinaEducationReview A，ISSN 2161-623X August2014，Vo1．4，No．8，536-547 鲁 Ll5 1-41N 6 AnInvestigationofFactorsThatContributetoStudent SatisfactionFrom OnlineCoursesAnExampleofan OnlineAccountingCourse EvangeliaM arinakou RoyalUniversityforW omen，Riffa,Kingdom ofBahrain Althoughmostcoursesareofferedinthetraditionalsynchronouswaywhereteachingandlearningmainlytake placeintheclassroom theIntemethasproventobeaneffectivetoolinlearning．Thedemandofonlinecoursesis constantly growing，however，there is apaucity ofreserach ofonlinedelivery Successfactors，especially of accountingcourses．Theaim ofthispaperwastoinvestigatet‘hefactorsthatcontributetostudentsatisfactionfrom onlineteachingandlearningofanaccountingcourse．Thisstudywasconductedatauniversi intheUnitedStates (U．S．)amongst80studentsenrolledinanonlineaccountingcourseoveraperiodoftwoselnesters．Thequantitative dataarebasedonthestudents’courseevaluationform softheinstructor’steachingandoverallsatisfactionwiththe course．Thefindingssuggestthatthestudentsfoundtheasynchronousonlineteachingandlearninginterestingand challenging．Thefactorsthatmainlycontributetostudentsatisfactionincludetheinstructor’spreparationforthe courseandheravailabilitytostudents，thecleargradingcriteria,theassignmentwhichtheyfounduseful，andthe otherresourcesthatwereavailableonline．Theyvaluetheleastthedevelopmentofwritingskills．Additionally，this studyproposesthatthereisapositivesignificnatcorrelationbetweentheinstructor’soverallperformanceandthe overallstudentsatisfactionrfom thecourse．Theinstructor’sperformance，availability，andeasytousetechnology enhancetheleraningandteachingrfom onlinepedagogies．
