With the rapid growth of the national economy and the demand for coal rising, the tight supply of coal forces the number of mine to increase every year and mine safety to face a severe test. In chinese mines, rescue equipments are less visualization and poor hardware integration , and rescue video is low resolution, faint in low light conditions, lack unity and coherence, sensitive to interference, unstable communication quality. To improve the mine rescue equipment performance, the key is to improve the quality of underground video signal processing. A multimedia emergency communication systemfor Mine Rescue is developed by Task Force concerning the problem in existing underground rescue system, such as poor video signal, vulnerable to environmental disturbance, low system integration rate and failure to display rescue information on the spot.The system includes rescue information recorder, underground base and ground command center and I mainly complete the video processing system in whole system.The rescue information recorder and underground are based on S3C6410 hardware platform, and use WinCE6.0 as a software development system to achieve collection, codec, transmitting and displaying of the video d
