The “Rocker” Lifter Series Operating Instructions - November 2005 – The “Rocker” Lifter Mounting and Dismounting The “Rocker Lifters” are a series of demountable lifters, housed in their own unique frame. This means that these lifters are interchangeable and can easily and quickly be removed from the vehicle. They are supplied as complete units, ready for mounting on the vehicle. All that the vehicle requires is for two side locking- plates and two base plates to be added (see pictures below). No additional bodywork is needed. The truck mounting positions Mounting and Dismounting (continued) Vehicle mounting details ( WARNING Extreme caution and attention must be applied at all times when raising or lowering the lifter. Do not attempt to raise or lower the lifter unless you have read and completely understood the operating instructions. Do not attempt to raise or lower the lifter without checking the condition of the strap and screw locks first. If in doubt, do not raise the lifter until the parts have been repaired or replaced and you are completely satisfied that it is safe to do so. Never stand or allow anyone else to stand under or in close proximity of the lifter when it is being raised or lowered. The working area must remain clear during this process and it is the duty of the operator to ensure that it does. Always make sure that the park hooks are in place before lowering the lifter Raising the Lifter Visibly inspect the lifter and vehicles mounting brackets for damage. Ensure that the screw locks are not damaged and that they are in the correct position, a position where they will not foul as the lifter is raised. They must be able to move freely. Check the strap for signs of damage, do not attempt to raise the lifter if the strap is worn or damaged in any way. Ensure that the strap is wound up correctly; a minimum 30cms should be available.
