China consumed 2852.4 MTOE of primary energy , 22.4% share of the global consumption. Chinese energy consumption is huge by gross amount. Energy consumption--2013 Global energy consumption average level was 2.16 tons oil equivalent(TOE) /capita. The USA consumed 7.17 TOE /capita, China consumed 2.1 TOE /capita. Chinese energy consumption is medium by per capita amount. Energy consumption--2013 Chinese energy reserves Chinese fossil fuel proved reserve accounts for 8.27% of world total, disproportionally to its population scale.
