One of the most dramatic ecological events in human history that threatens our life, environment and economy. Mile-a-minute Weed Mikania micrantha H.B.K. Introduction There are considerable invasive plants with the capability of vigorous clonal growth, e.g. Mikania micrantha and Spartina alterniflora. Some studies show that the clonal character may enhance the invasiveness of the alien plants (Py?ek 1997, Reichard 1997, Maurer Zedler 2002, Py?ek et al. 2003). Introduction For deepening our understanding of plant invasion and application aim, it is critical to analyze geographical origin of invasive non-native plants, and regional-scale distribution of invasive non-native plants. Questions Is clonality related to invasion success of plant species? What is main geographical origin of the invasive non-native plant species in China? What influence regional-scale distribution of invasive non-native plant species in China?
