Ultrasonic 2000 SERIES Power Supplies 2000bdc GENERAL DESCRIPTION The 2000bdc family of power supplies is Branson’s latest offering in ultrasonic power sup- ply technology and continuous process control. New patented circuitry with closed loop ampli- tude control provides significant new benefits in performance, consistency, and higher productivity, especially in applications requiring a high level of process control and weld quality. The 2000bdc has front panel digital amplitude control, settable from 10 to 100%. Six models are available in three frequencies: 20 kHz at 1100, 2200, and 3300 Watts; 30 kHz at 1500 Watts; and 40 kHz at 400 and 800 Watts. The power supplies may be 100% combined with an actuator or a converter/boost- er/horn stack to form an ultrasonic package designed for continuous-duty or automated pro- duction systems. In addition, these models may be used with Branson FS-90 and FS-180 ultrasonic sewing machines as well as with other continuous 0% TIME 1000 ms applications. Figure 11.
