Property Times Chengdu Q3 2012 Office demand easing  One new prime office project was launched in the market this quarter, creating 15 October 2012 94,160 sq m of new supply. The total grade A office stock in Chengdu reached 849,126 sq m. Office rent in the CBD saw mild growth of 2.79% quarter-on- Contents quarter (q-o-q) to reach RMB 142.78 (US$22.49) per sq m per month (Figure 1). Economic Overview 2  In Q3 2012, three new shopping malls came on stream, bringing 221,784 sq m of new supply to the Chengdu middle- to high-end retail market. The total stock for Office 3 retail increased to 3,011,584 sq m. Retail 4  In July and August 2012, after a market recovery in the last quarter, the price started to Residential 5 increase. Transaction volume and supply in the primary residential market fell slightly in Definitions 6 the first two months of Q3 2012.
