The multiple involvement of the veterinary profession was also emphasised by the Director General of the OIE during a seminar on “Challenges in responding to new international and societal demands on the veterinary profession” at the 28th World Veterinary Congress, indicating that in recent years the OIE has been expanding its role with regard to influencing the objectives and missions of the veterinary profession.
