Selye University, Komárno-Komárom (Slovakia) poorjf@t-online.hu Anna Francsovics Óbuda University, Keleti Faculty of Business and Management francsovics.anna@kgk.uni-obuda.hu Györgyi Lakatosné Szuhai Szent István University gyorgyi.szuhai@ Abstract : Our aim is to show the relationships between fluctuations in the workforce and growth in the number of employees (the size of the organisation), increased turnover and the form of ownership. We identified these relationships by means of an empirical survey based on data provided by 207 organisations. In this we looked at the ways in which fluctuations in the workforce affecting both se nior and middle managers, administrative staff and physical workers alike are affected by the size of the company, its turnover and also its form of ownership. This example of the European demographic situation should focus our attention on some of the social and economic problems to be faced in the co ming years.
