The residential area of city development area has both the prevalent characteristic of suburb residential area and also the characteristic of itself. Through the analysis of the construction of the residential area, developing characteristic of different stage, the existing problem in the building process, the interacted relation with the industries of city development area, this paper describes the growing pattern of the residential area building. Focusing on the individual case, Wuhan economic technical development area, with field survey, analysis and research by using comprehensive research strategies including interview, questionnaire etc. After a compared analysis of three typical communities, the author found out the problems of which were the mostly desired to be solved by the residents and which would bring serious consequences in the future.
