Then ask some questions: 1) Who has been to Thailand/Korea/Malaysia /Singapore/Japan? 2) Which country would you like to visit in Asia, Thailand, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, or Japan? 1 Talk about Chinese culture with students (Show students some pictures). 2 Elicit students to talk about the Great Wall, then tell students that Eddie and Hobo are visiting the Great Wall. What do they think of it? ( Learning the Comic strip) 1 Let students go through the comic strip, ask some questions. 1) What does Hobo think of the Great Wall? 2) Does Eddie like visiting the Great Wall? 3) Do you think Eddie will continue to the end? 2 Play the tape once; choose able students to give the answers. 3 Play the tape again. Students listen and repeat. 4 Encourage students to act out the dialogue in pairs. 5 Give some explanation. 1 Explain the situation in Part A on page 41. 2 Encourage students to do Part A individually, then check the answers. 1 Explain the situation in Part B. 2 Get students to look at the Chinese sights, then write the names of the cities where the places are.
