A s a result, the con stru ction of the port and w aterw ay geog raph ic inform ation system and the rea lization o f the modern ization of port and w a terw ay m anagem ent are mi p era tive. LancangM ekong R ive r is an mi portant internationa lw a terw ay o f stra teg ic mi po rtance.
