Abstract: A mi ing at them ovem ent characteristics of the flow and sedmi en t in Rongjiang R iver and com bin ingw ith the wa
terw ay regu lation engineering, the wt odmi ensionalm athem atical modelwh ich smi ulates the m ovem ent characteristics of the
flow and sedmi ent in this area is estab lished. The field m easurem ent data are adopted to verify the correctness of the model,
and the smi ulation resu lt is closely fittedw ith the field data, wh ich show s that them odel is cred itab le to smi u late the move
m ent situation ofw ater and sed mi ent in tidal river. Therefore, it can provide the techn ical support for the waterw ay regu la
tion.
