It ha a con iderable future application in civil engineering due to it favorable propertie , uch a light weight, cor- ro ion re i tance and rapid con truction. It can be u ed in indu trial mill building , floor , footbridge , bridge and their en- clo ure . The behavior of imple upported pultruded gla fiber reinforced polymer( GFRP) hollow lab i tudied through a tatic loading te t and finite element analy i . The deflection, the di tribution of train and the ultimate failure of the lab are analyzed. Ba e on the re ult , a implified approach to determine the equivalent tiffne of FRP hollow lab that i the area- weighted mean depended on the ection characteri tic i pre ented. It con ider the ani otropy and the different ela tic modu- le of ten ion, bend and compre ion of FRP. The local buckling failure mode and the trength failure mode of the FRP deck are imulated, which provide a ba i for the de ign and application of FRP hollow lab.
