Webster defines it as: “The set of shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterize a organization”- the key word is ‘shared’. We all have different roles to play within the organization but one thing is clear, Standard Chartered can and will only be successful if we all take ownership of risk and accept accountability for our actions. Every one of us can lead by example and ensure that the decisions we make, the actions we take, are to the long term benefit of the bank firstly and that any personal benefit is subordinate.
