What kind of work would the man have to do for the new job?  A. Get ingredients ready for a meal.  B. Clean kitchen equipment for the cooks.  C. Prepare the weekly menu for the dining hall.  D. Coordinate schedules for student workers.  第一步，根据题目定位原文。  Student：What’s prep work?  Manager：You prepare food for the cooks. You know, like cutting up vegetables for soup, or cleaning greens for salads.  第二步，根据内容选择答案。文章中通过学生像管理者询问备餐员主要是干什么的(What’s prep work?)，然后管理员回答说prepare food for the cooks可以看出学生的工作就是为厨师准备食料。可以确定答案为A选项。在听力中出现问答的地方，同学们都应该给予重视。  第三步，进行验证。在托福听力中正确选项都是对原文的同义替换或者改写，例如在本题中prepare food和Get ingredients ready就是同义替换，因此可以确定是正确答案。  例2.
