To analyze chemical constituents of the volatile oil from different growing periods of Artemisia annua,the components of the volatile oil were separated and identified by GC-MS.The relative content of each component was determined by area normalization. The results show that the yield and composition of the volatile oil at different growing period are notably varied. There were 8 common components in the identified ones. Key words： Artemisia
