* 一、作形容词 1. worth 作形容词，意为“值（多少钱）”、“相当于……的价值”或“值得”等。其后 通常接表示钱数的名词或相当于“代价”的比喻性名词。例如 It was worth five hundred francs at most. It’s worth the time and effort we devoted to it. How much is the picture worth？ It is worth twice the money we paid for it. 2. be worth 后还可接动词的 -ing 形式，意为“值得做”，应使用主动结构表示被动意义。 be worth 不能接不定式。例如： I think the film is worth seeing twice. 不说I think the film is worth being seen twice.
