Cancer
cancer 叶秋阳 what is cancer? Cancer is a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. Cancer cells can spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. Cancer is not just one disease but many diseases. There are more than 100 different types of cancer. Most cancers are named for the organ or type of cell in which they start - for example, cancer that begins in the colon is called colon cancer; cancer that begins in basal cells of the skin is called basal cell carcinoma. Lung cancer, the most common cause of cancer-related death in men and women, is responsible for 1.3 million deaths worldwide annually. The most common symptoms are shortness of breath, coughing (including coughing up blood), and weight loss. Causes The most common cause of lung cancer is long-term exposure to tobacco smoke. The occurrence of lung cancer in nonsmokers, who account for as many as 15% of cases, is often attributed to a combination of genetic factors, radon gas(氡气), asbestos(石棉), and air pollutionincluding secondhand smoke. Liver Cancer Liver cancer is properly considered to be a cancer which starts in the liver, as opposed to a cancer which originates in another organ and migrates to the liver, known as a liver metastasis The liver is one of the largest organs in the body. It is located below the right lung and under the ribcage. Liver tumors(肿瘤) may be discovered on medical imaging, which may occur incidentally to imaging performed for a different disease than the cancer itself, or may present symptomatically, as abdominal(腹部的) pain, jaundice(黄疸), nausea(恶心) or some other liver dysfunction. The most frequent liver cancer is hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)(肝细胞癌症)
