Abstract Analysis of the predictive factor for prognosis following surgery for temple lobe epilepsy Objective：To investigate the omcome of temporal lobe epilepsy surgery and identify the variables which predict the prognosis with respect to seizures in postoperative follow—up after one and three years． Methods：93 Patients who was diagnosed drug—resistant temple lobe epilepsy and had temporal epileptogenic opration between April 2003 and April 20 1 2 was followed up about one，three，five and eight year prognosis．We Performed a retrospective consecutive analysis about gender,age of onset，course，age of opration，seizure frequency,seizure forms，past history,aura，epilepsy protocol magnetic resonance imaging (M对)，long—term video—electroencephalography (video—EEG)，intracranial electrod implantations，opration strategy,operation side， APOS，pathology and the video-electroencephalography after operation．Seizure outcome was classified into good prognostic group(Engel I+Engel II)and bad prognostic group(EngelHI+EngelIV)according to Engel’S classification． Logistic regression analysis was undertaken to identify which variables were associated with the prognosis in the postoperative follow-up of seizure status． Result：There were 93 patients in our cohort study，including 42 female and 5 1 male，no patient was lost follow-up；mean follow—up was 3．6 years．In the first year after operation，there were 8 5 patients had good prognosis(91．4％) and 73 patients had seizure free(78．5％)； Univariate logistic regression analysis show that patients who had two or more seizure forms，Unilateral ictal location and no seizure in the first 6 months after su玛e巧will have the good prognosis；However multivariate logistic regression find that APOS and seizure in the first 6 months after Abstract ———————————————————————————————————————————————————一 surgery was the Independent predictors．In the third year after operation，68 patients was followed-up，there were 6 1 patients had good prognosis (89．7％) and 54 patien
