Yellowstone National Park is established in 1872 by the United States Congress as a national park on March 1,for the preservation of its many wonders and for the enjoyment of the people, and now encompassing 2.2 million acres. It is located mostly in the U.S. state of Wyoming(怀俄明州) , though it also extends into Montana (蒙大纳州) and Idaho(爱达荷)，known for its wildlife and its many geothermal（地热的） features. It is the most popular attraction in Yellowstone National Park, and everyone who visits for the first time should watch this most famous of geysers erupt. Although neither the highest or most regular geyser in the Park, it is spectacular. Geothermic activity creates geysers, natural hot springs, and pools of water tinted yellow, red, and green by sulfur. Yellowstone National Park 黄石湖（Yellowstone Lake） 2 Yellowstone Lake is the largest high-altitude lake in North America, with a total length of 110 miles of shorelines. The Yellowstone Lake District is a major habitat of many birds and wild- life, surrounded by virgin forest and clear lakes . Yellowstone National Park 黄石温泉（Yellowstone Hot Spring） 3 The most beautiful hot spring among these is the Morning Glory Pool ,whose color varies with the water temperature . The distinct color of the pool is due to the bacteria which inhabit in the water. There are thousands of hot springs in Yellowstone National Park Hot springs with names like Morning Glory , Mammoth like jewels in a host of colors across the parks harsh volcanic plain. They are the most common hydrothermal features in the park. Mammoth Hot Springs are the main attraction of the Mammoth District. These features are quite different from thermal areas elsewhere in the park. As hot water rises through limestone, large quantities of rock are dissolved by the hot water,
