-To review and sum up words of jobs learnt so far .
-To use ‘What are you going to be when you grow up? I am going to be /I want to be …’ to talk about their intentions.
-To encourage the students to use English through task, not just learn the language .
-To train students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
Processes and methods
-To encourage the students to open their mouths and practice their oral English.
-To encourage students to guess the jobs by imitating, arouse students’ thinking, imagination and intellect.
-With the learning strategies of Using context Role playing and Task based learning .Get the students to do pair work ,to talk about jobs using the teaching courseware , pictures ,flashcards or objects and to practice listening , speaking , by making a survey and doing groupwork to talk about classmates’ jobs.
Emotion, attitudes and value
-After the study of this lesson , students’ knowledge will be enlarged. The teacher should help them to set up the realization of serve for our society and our country . They should also set up the right attitude of working hard for the bright future.
Difficulties and focuses
-The structures using the sentence patterns like What, How questions. What are you going to be when you grow up ? How are you going to do that?
-The structures and usage of affirmative and negative statements and the basic sentence patterns: I am going to be …/ I want to be …. I’m going to ….
-Master the vocabulary of occupations, the usage of future with going to , want to be , and talk about
