As part of one of the world’s leading media organisations, the Trust is committed to improving the quality of people’s lives in developing and transitional countries through the innovative use of media. Extensive research is undertaken at all stages of the project by the Research Learning RL Group. The RL Group focuses on four key activities: Providing Trust projects with audience and market insights to guide project strategies; Conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies to capture the impact of all Trust media interventions; Building capacity in audience research skills and methodology on projects in country, and Documenting and disseminating the learning from the Trust’s projects internally and to the wider development community. In partnership with British Council, the Trust is seeking a Research Manager in China to work on a 7-country project relating to public understandings of environmental issues in Asia. The Research Manager will manage all aspects of quantitative and quantitative research, analysis and delivery in China. The Research Manager will have extensive experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research in China. He/she should have strong report-writing and presenting skills. Any experience of undertaking audience research to inform communications on the environment and related issues is highly desirable.
