SUPPLY TENDER NOTICE MAIDAN SHAR-BAMYAN ROAD SPECIAL MAINTENANCE PROJECT 1. Publication reference REMABAR S 03. Road Special Maintenance Project, Supply of Machinery and Equipment and Related Items. 2. Procedure Open to national and international bidders or voluntarily formed joint ventures. The bidders must give evidence of their experience in similar supply of Machinery and Equipment of the same nature. Eligibility of bidders will be assessed on the basis of the following technical and financial requirements: - Experience in supplies of similar size and nature, carried out in developing countries. - Proven capability to ensure after sale service in Afghanistan for all the proposed items. - Proven financial capability and liquidity based upon: Annual turnover from procurement contracts of al least 3 million euro or equivalent in the last 2 years; a liquidity cash in hand or credit limit of at least: 300,000 euro for tenderers bidding for Lot1 150,000 euro for tenderers bidding for to Lot2 450,000 euro for tenderers bidding for both Lot 1 and 2. 3. Programme The Government of Italy has ensured to the Government of Afghanistan a grant for the rehabilitation of Lot No.1 of the Maidan Shar-Bamyan Road, named REMABAR S02 project, for a total length of 54 kilometers from Maidan Shar to Onay Pass. To upgrade the conditions of the remaining part of the road to Bamyan, until sufficient funds will be raised from donors for its full rehabilitation, the Italian Government has financed a component of the Project No REMABAR S03 for undertaking under direct administration the special maintenance of the portion of road not included in the REMABAR S02 project. 4. Financing The total available budget for the supply of machinery and equipment and related items has been set at 1 million euro, as follows: LOT# 1.
