What are their attitudes? (Supportive, interested, forced, indifferent, well informed, disparate?) What is their level of knowledge? What do they need to learn? What level of detail should I give? What do they already know? What do they need to know? When am I doing this? How much time does this give me for preparation and rehearsal? What other commitments have I got? Where am I doing this? Is there a location map? Is the room reserved? Is it available to rehearse in? What is the size/shape of the room? What facilities are available? What visual aids systems are available? Why should they learn this? What’s in it for them (WIIFM)? Teach or train = to learn. In this case, you need to focus on three basics of explanation, demonstration, confirmation (by practice). Educate or inform = to understand. In this case, your trainees want to understand a concept/procedure and develop their current knowledge. How can I get the message across? What is the best way of achieving the objectives? How will I know they are learning? What questions do I use to see if they understand? How do I check their progress? Ignite Express how this training and the implementation of SAP will make a difference in the success of the SMART ERP implementation. Need Identify how this knowledge is needed in their daily tasks. Title State the description of the course title. Range State how long the presentation will last and the agenda of the class. Objective Clearly state the objective of the course When you start speaking, your self-introduction should follow this sequence: Greet Take the opportunity to say “Good Morning” with a pleasant open smile that conveys the impression that you are pleased to be there.
