Conception of Environment Environment Is that which environs or surrounds; surrounding conditions, influences, or forces, by which living forms are influenced and modified in their growth and development. Conception of Environment The modern concept of environment includes: Environment components It can be divided into three components as: (ⅰ) physical: △air, △water, △soil, △wastes, △radiation, Light, noise △housing, etc. Conception and components (ⅱ) biological: Plant: tree, Animal life: bacteria, viruses, insects and animals. Conception and components (ⅲ) social: customs, culture, habits, income, occupation, religion etc. Environmental factors play a central role in the processes of human development, health, and disease. Human exposure to hazardous agents in the air, water, soil, and food and to physical hazards in the environment is a major contributor to increased morbidity and mortality.
