The winter (from December to February) temperature was remarkable higher than average; the spring (March to May) temperature was higher; the summer (June to August) and autumn (September to November) temperature was normal. The annual precipitation was less than average by 5%, but the temporal and spatial distribution of rainfall was uneven. The precipitation in the winter and autumn was greater than average. The precipitation in the spring and summer was normal. The annual sunshine hours was 298 hours less than average, a figure significantly less than that of the normal years. The autumn sunshine hours was less, the winter and summer hours remarkably less, and the spring hours normal. The features of weather-related disasters of XingTai in 2007 were as follows: Heavy droughts influenced the region in some part time of the year. High temperature and heavy fogs were observed more than expectancies. Gail, hail and rainstorm occurred occasionally.
