For optimization design of equipment and the safety of the main stress components, required when designers design inspection must use a kind of accurate and fast method for analysis and calculation. Relative to the large amount of calculation, complicated and inaccurate traditional algorithm, the finite element analysis for the design personnel to provide a best choice. At first, this paper using UG to establish three-dimensional model of the structure; With finite element analysis module of UG with the main work device on sideboom - support for structural strength analysis; After the model into ANSYS analysis of the strength of the parallel comparison; Check it whether meet the requirements of structural strength at last. So as to achieve the aim of improving sideboom work safety.
