However, because of the variety of microstrip line, the complicate mathematical model, and the tedious calculation process, in those condition, this tool brings a lot of difficulties in the practical application. The paper is committed to programming, which can realize the complex calculation formula of the microstrip line, and we use graphical user interface(GUI) which is a man-mathine friendly software. GUI has many elements, such as window, cursor, menu and so on. When selecting and clicking these elements , we can finish many function easily, which is called what you see is what you get, so this characteristic is a good application, especially in the graphics. GUI is the first choice for the software that will be published, and its interface design quality determines the future of software on the market. In order to develop a microstrip line calculator, in this paper, we will use mathematical modeling to analysis the structure of the microstrip line, and design program with GUI tools in Matlab software.
