INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PREPARATION OF MANUSCRIPTS FOR THE JOINT 9TH FEDERAL INTERAGENCY SEDIMENTATION CONFERENCE AND 4th FEDERAL INTERAGENCY HYDROLOGIC MODELING CONFERENCE This document provides instructions for preparing technical papers to be included in the Proceedings CD-ROM of the Joint 9th Federal Interagency Sedimentation Conference and 4th Federal Interagency Hydrologic Modeling Conference, June 27 - July 1, 2010, Riviera Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada. The technical papers will not be published as printed documents, only the abstracts. It is important, however, for the papers to have the same general format in the proceedings. Please upload your paper and abstract to the conference site at http://upload.jfic.us (see UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS below) or send your paper/abstract to the respective technical program chair. The preferred method is via uploading to the server. The upload site will be open through March 1st, 2010 and all final papers must be provided by that date. Submission by e-mail or land mail is also acceptable. For the 9th FISC, send paper to: Jerry Webb, 2124 Brook Street, Culloden, WV 25510, e-mail Jerry.W.Webb@. Please include complete mailing address, phone, fax, and email address on all transmittals or inquiries. Drafts of papers are due by December 31, 2009. Drafts will be reviewed and comments and recommendations for finalization will be returned by January 31, 2010. Final papers are due March 1, 2010. Agency reviews may be performed any time prior to the March 1, 2010 deadline. The technical paper must be submitted in Office 2003 Microsoft Word for Windows and in PDF format, to the respective technical program chair. All graphics and tables must be inserted in the same file in the main text body. The size of the PDF file must not exceed 10 MB. No animated graphics or video are allowed for the technical papers, but color may be
