Peter一家即将在假期间到中国做一次环游旅行。 2. plant to do计划做某事 We plan to plant many trees . 我们计划种许多树。 They plan to go to Xi’an and Harbin , too . 他们还计划去西安和哈尔滨。 类似的短语还有： want to do , begin to do decide to do , try to do help to do , hope to do 例：We want to visit all these famous places . 我们想去参观所有这些著名的地方。 They decided to leave there . 他们决定离开那儿。 She hopes to be a scientist like her uncle . 她希望像她叔叔那样成为一名科学家。 I tried to finish the work last night , but I couldn’t . 我昨天试图完成这项工作，但我没做到。 3. enjoy enjoy后面如果是动作，必须用动名词形式作宾语。 例： He enjoys seeing films . 他喜爱看电影。 The children enjoy dreaming . 孩子们喜欢梦想。 与enjoy用法相同的还有finish，keep等。 例：They finished doing their work an hour ago . 他们1小时前完成了他们的工作。 Don’t keep him standing in the classroom . 别让他一直在教室里站着了。 4. think about和think of表示“认为，考虑”后面可以接名词或动词ing形式，许多时候可以通用。 例：What do you think about / of China ? 你觉得中国怎么样？ I’m thinking about / of going to the USA for my holiday . 我正在考虑去美国度假。 5. in the north of与to the north of （1）in the north of是在某一区域以内的北方 例：Harbin is in the north of China . 哈尔滨在中国的北方（范围内） （2）to the north of在某一区域之外的北方 例：Qingdao is to the south of Beijing . 青岛位于北京以南。（范围外） The Great Wall is to the north of Beijing . 长城在北京以北。（范围外） 表示方向的词还可以用south（南），east（东）west（西） 例： Japan is to the east of China . 日本在中国以东。 To the south of the hairdresser is a small hill . 在理发店以南有一座小山。 6. far from离……远，反义词是near。 Is the Great Wall far from here ? 长城离这里远吗？ 7. go on延续，继续 Let’s go on . 我们继续吧。 The experiment is going on well . 实验进展顺利。 go on doing = go on with sth. 继续做同一内容的事 go on to do 指继续做内容不同的事。 例：I hope it won’t go on raining all day . 我希望不要整天下雨。 She went on to talk about something else . 她接着又谈起了另一件事。 8. learn sth. about学习关于……的事情 We can learn a lot about the history of China .
