With the aging, the reducing of agricultural labor force, and the increasing of the cost of agricultural production, the development of mechanization of harvest, especially the research on robots of fruit and vegetable harvest, has a great significance. The portable pecan picking machine designed in this thesis is a kind of agricultural machinery .This machine employs power supplies, linkages, machine shells, driving devises, connecting arms, upper fingers and down fingers. Thereinto, the linkage is made up of an outer pipe, an inner pipe and a lock device. The flexible inner pipe is connected in the inner surface of the outer pipe. Lock device is in the joint of the right end of outer pipe and the outer surface of the inner pipe. The right end of inner pipe is fixedly connected with the left end of the machine shell. The left end of upper finger is articulated with the upper part of the machine shells, while the left end of down finger is articulated with the down part of the machine shells. The machine shell is equipped with a driving devise.
