05 养老足球赛 This cartoon meeting our eyes is very worrying(disturbing) and thought-provoking, in which a not harmonious scene is depicted vividly (a moment of a drastic and gripping football match). In the drawing , an aged father，looking miserable and helpless, is sitting at the center of the playground while his four children (as goal keeper) kick him away, as a football, standing in the four corner of football ground. No one would accept him. In such a simple way the author of the cartoon has managed to mirror the social phenomenon around us: it is not uncommon in our society today that some junior citizen don’t support their parents and even abuse them. The implied meaning conveyed in the picture above should be taken into account seriously and there are many reasons accounting for the phenomenon clearly.(following are typical ones).what I want to focus on as the first point is that young people themselves are lack of self-control and self-examination so that they can not understand it a responsibility to support their parents. In addition, the laws and regulations concerned are still far from perfect yet . The last point worth our attention and interest is that mass media fails to play a due role in this case. Considering all these reasons, some positive and effective counter-measures should be carried out, in as quick fast a manner as possible, to put an end to the phenomenon of this kind. On one hand the young people should be of the ability of self-control and self-examination meanwhile the authority concerned should strengthen legal promulgation and education to enhance the legal awareness and idea of the public. On the other hand, the mass media must shoulder the responsibility to guide the citizens in more active ways. Only in this way can the junior citizens win respect and contribute to building-up harmonious society in the future, and only in this way can they achieve beautiful and colorful lives. 08年团结solidarity (team wo
