In Sovite Union the president Gorbachev put forward new reform plan,hotspots conflict is cooling, the international relation appears the obviously trend of dialogue and ease. At the same time multi polarization characteristics increasingly prominent,the America global position descending relatively. In this book Nixon analyses the situation of the 20th ,the situation of the west Europe,two super power America and Soviet Union,and USA how to contain Soviet Union ,how compete with Soviet Union and how to negotiate with Soviet Union. The most important part of this book is about China ,China’s development and prospect of China, at last Nixon put forward the prospect of America in the 21th.This thesis first analyses the characteristics of this age,the analyses the strategy of America and Soviet Union and America’s policies that aim at Soviet Union,at last he analyses China’s policies and the prospect of China’s future. This thesis is based on Nixon’s book,analysing his viewpoints one by one,and then standing today------the international situation of 21th to analyse Nixon’s prediction of the coming centery.
