Delayed Lead Delayed lead is often used on features , the kind of stories that are not about developing or fast- breaking events. e.g. The man she loved slapped her face. Furious, she says she told him never, ever to do that again. “ What are you going to do, kill me?” he asked, and handed her a gun. “Here, kill me,” he challenged. She said. We can change the previous lead into direct lead: A lady killed the man she loved. But using the delayed lead can not show so violent emotion and the main facts are not told at the beginning, but lie in the following paragraphs.
