* The Object Clause ————宾语从句 一：基本定义 在主句中用一个句子来代替宾语的位置，该从句叫宾语从句。 二：宾语从句的引导词： 1. That : 引导陈述句，无意义，可以省略。 I know (that) he is a teacher. I hear (that) he will come back in a month. He told us (that) he was going to Beijing. 2.If / whether: 引导一般疑问句，表是否。 I don’t know. Is he our new teacher? = I don’t know if/whether he is our new teacher. She wondered(疑惑) if/whether it rained last night. I am not sure if / whether he will come tonight. 3.特殊疑问词：引导特殊疑问句。 The teacher doesn’t know why he comes late. Let me show you how it works. He asked the policeman which is the way to the school. Can you tell me who is the headteacher? 三：宾语从句的语序： 宾语从句用陈述语序：主句+连接词+主语+谓语。。。 陈述句——基本不变 疑问句——还原为正常语序 1)情态动词、be动词及助动词have放到从句主语之后 2)助动词do ( does、 did ) 应删去。 1 My father will be back soon. I know that 2 Who is Jim waiting for ? I know who 3 Can Lily carry the basket ? I know whether/if 4 What time will the train leave ? I know what time my father will be back soon. Jim is waiting for. Lily can carry the basket. the train will leave. 四：宾语从句的时态： 1。当主句是一般现在时，宾语从句根据实际来判断。 he will ask Jim a question He says I am a good friend. he isn’t feeling well now. he came back last night. 2。当主句是一般过去时，宾语从句应用过去的某个时态（一般过去时，过去进行时，过去将来时） He told me he would leave Chongqing soon.
