But she fought back (Bannockburn 1314), and made friends with her other cousin Frank who was strong and handsome. But then (1603) Anglia offered Scotia his lovely big house if she agreed to move in and look after it. This was an offer she couldn’t refuse – in fact she hoped to get married, but Anglia wasn’t ready for it yet. However, by 1707 Frank was causing trouble again so Anglia and Scotia finally decided to marry. In fact, this was quite useful as Scotia was a bit short of money and Anglia was doing quite well in his new business (the Empire), but Scotia wanted a marriage of equals.... Scotland – her story ....and insisted on keeping her own name. Their new relationship was pretty good for a long time and Scotia worked hard in their growing company (the Industrial Revolution). Unfortunately, by the 1970s business was not going so well, however, one day Scotia inherited* some money from a relative (North Sea oil). She wondered what to do. Anglia was a bit worried she might want to divorce but Scotia said she just wanted to do things by herself (Scottish Parliament, 1999) and meet people like Frank and his friend
