Ⅰ. Analysis of the teaching material
This unit is aiming at fruit, which is familiar to students. This is the second lesson in this unit. The dialogue is about Sarah and Wu Yifan buying Sam’s birthday fruit. This class is organized around Sam’s birthday gift . The main structure is “-Do you like…?” -“Yes, I do/No, I dont.”
Ⅱ. Analysis of the students
The students in grade 3 have learned numbers and colors before. They can simply express their feelings. In this lesson, they will be able to read four fruit words :apple, pear, banana and orange. Whats more, students can say and use the structure “-Do you like…?” -“Yes, I do/No, I dont.” According to students’ cognitive characteristics, teachers should take various methods to attract students’ attention.
