In this paper, the phenomenon of suicide as a starting point, based on the creation of the text, from the four sections explain the life thinking of Norwegian Wood. The first part will discuss formations and development of Murakami’s view of death, which explain the author’s “dying is living”. Therefore, let us understand why it is so frequently to describe death in Norwegian Wood. The second part sums up three ways of suicide from the causes of death. That is liberations of Kabuki, love of Satsuma, redemption of Naoko. The third part analyzes symbolic places of death through the whole text and summarized the various imageries of suicide. The forth party discusses the life thinking under suicide imageries. Finally it comes to a conclusion--- The novel tells a story around suicide plots, which exposes the melancholy unable to send and the heart increasingly closed in the bustling city. The aim is to praise the power of life and seek incomplete beauty.
