Abstract This thesis aims to study the three images in the poetry of Stephen Crane and makes a deeper understanding of the artistic charm of his poetry. During his short life, Crane composed many outstanding works, such as Red Badge of Courage, The Open Boat and so on. Most of the researches both at home and abroad are mainly about his literatures, while there are few studies focusing on artistic achievements and styles of poetry.
