From that time, Australia left other continents. Now it is the loneliest and the smallest continent in the world. Part1. Politic As we all know, Australia is just one of British Empire’s colonies in those old days. Captain James Cook, a number in royal navy, arrived at the eastern shore of Australia in 1770 and announced it belongs to the British Empire. So the official name of Australia is Commonwealth of Australia, it means Australia is part of The Commonwealth of Nations, an organization proved a brilliant time of the British Empire. Now, as the rapid change of world pattern, the influence from the United Kingdom is becoming smaller and smaller, Australia had built its own politic system. The fundamental political systems of Australia are constitutional monarchy and the cabinet system. Obviously, these two systems were learning from the United Kingdom. There are also some forms of government learned from America, “separation of the three powers” may be one of the best examples. Australia is now a federalism country, six states comprise the country. By the rule of the Commonwealth of Nation, British monarch it’s Australia monarch, governor is appointed by monarch and the governor can appoint Prime ministry. Generally speaking, the term of Australia government is three years, four mainly parties may rise to power in the nationwide election, they are Australia Labor Party, Liberal Party, National Party and Australia Democrats. Advanced political system helps the development of Australia economics, and makes it a satisfying country for Australian. Part2.
