To read, with understanding,a passage about Christmas. 能力目标 Using the Simple Past Tense to describe how people spend a festival. 情感目标 通过中西方节日的 对比,学会表达自己喜欢的节日。 教材分析 教学重点 How to describe one’s favourite festival. 教学难点 How to describe one’s favourite festival. 教学准备 PPT 教 学 过 程 一、Warm up: 1. Free talk 2. Song: We wish you a merry Christmas 二、Presentation and Practice 1.Show the pictures( about the song) on the screen. Ask the pupils What festival about in the song . 2.Sow the title Unit 12 Christmas. 3.Show the pictures on the screen. 4.Talk about the picture with pupils . Invite pupils to guess what festival the children are having . 5. Set a purpose for reading the passage; In many countries, Christmas is many people’s favourite festival . People do many things ,during Christmas. What do they do ? Let’s read and find out. 6.Have pupils read the passage silently all the way through. And then think about some questions about the passage. 7.After reading , play the recording ,for pupils to listen to the passage. 8. Have pupils answer the comprehension questiongs. 9.Check the answers with pupils. 10. Invite pupils to tell you whether they like Christmas. 11.
