■?Warm up by talking about band.
Hello, class. Look at the photo. What is in the photo? Yes, it is band. But what is a band? In music, a band is a group of people that gets together to sing songs, or perform music. Do you know about any bands in China? What is your favourite band Tell us something about it?
■Listen and read.
On page 64 in the box is a conversation among Tony, Lingling, Betty and Daming. They are talking about bands.
Before we listen to it, let’s go on to read it first. While reading, try to: cut/ the sentence into thought groups, study the predicative, darken the connectives and underline all the useful expressions.
Useful expressions
