* The mouse can be adjusted to fit your individual style of working. If you are left-handed you may switch the mouse buttons so that you can comfortably use the button under your index finger of your left hand. You may not care for the speed at which you have to double-click. You can slow that down or speed it up. You can select different sized pointers and speed up the movement of the pointers so that you don’t have to move the mouse so far on your desk. If you use a laptop, you may find that adding trails to your cursor allows you to find it quickly on your screen. Using the Control Panel, select Printers and Other Hardware. Click Mouse. The tabs in the dialog box will guide you to the various options. Make your selections and click OK. * Businesses often have many computers that you can use to print documents. One computer, perhaps in your office, will be set as the default printer. When you print from software, the printouts will go to this printer. You might need to change your default printer. Other times you may need to cancel printing jobs, perhaps because you sent the wrong document to be printed. All of these tasks are available through the Control Panel, Printers and Other Hardware option. Click Printers and Faxes. One of the printers will have a check mark beside the icon. This is the current default printer for your computer. To change the default to another printer, right-click on the printer you wish to switch to and click Set as Default on the shortcut menu. To stop the print job on a printer, double-click on the printer icon. A list of the current print jobs will appear in a dialog box. Select the one you wish to cancel and click Printer. From the menu select Pause Printing to stop the printer and the Cancel Document to remove it from the printer buffer. It may take a while for the printer to stop due to the data already stored in the printer buffer. Once you have Pause Printing it will not start again until you click to clear Pause Printing.
