* * An important thing to remember is that each eligible organization may submit or be a sub-recipient in no more than one ARI-R2 proposal. We are uncertain of how many proposals to expect but our current best guess is under 1,000. This yields likely success rates of between 11 and 22%. I imagine that some proposers will want to know when they might be able to start a project if funded. We expect that we will make smaller awards in January 2010 and larger or more complex awards by the end of April 2010 so award start dates are likely to lie between February 1, 2010 and May 1, 2010. Proposals will be review by people with expertise in research and research training, facility design, and project management. If you have expertise in the latter two areas, including architecture, are not going to be involved in a proposal, and are interested in being a reviewer.
