GRAPHIC ORGANIZERS In this section you will find the materials that scaffold prior knowledge with new information. Students will manipulate information from current and prior studies as they use imaginary organisms (fosters confidence for struggling readers) to create food webs. They are able to organize research materials through the use of Cornell Notes and questioning to give purpose to readings. From these readings, students develop “facts based” written works and are provided exemplars that promote excellence. Lastly, the group develops an oral presentation strategy that defines the relevance for their work.
