By the comparisons, the author concluded that the Pneumatic shield shape fiber dam shows advantage in suitability, service life, manage and operation cost. Key words: Fabric dam; Flip bucket; Pneumatic shield; durability; landscape view; management operation; dam length The first Fiber dam was built in the end of 1950s, the fiber dam consists high strength fiber and rubber, the dam has been installed on the foundation, injected with water or gas to form the dam body. Flip bucket fiber dam is a improved fiber dam from normal fiber dam. When the dam is filled up, the downstream can be raised to form a flip bucket, therefore, the flow can be flipped to reduce the dam vibration, so as to reduce the dam abrasion, the dam shape looks better. Because the back ridge is the position where the dam folds, the dam is easy to fit the dam concrete dam foundation when the infill material released. Pneumatic shield shape fiber dam is a new type fiber dam which consist advantages of both traditional steel dam and fiber dam. Basically it is consist of steel gate (baffle), underground gear, fiber dam bag, break belt and automatic control system. The steel gate is a strengthen steel plate, the fiber dam bag lies downstream of the steel plates, the air injecting or releasing is controlled by automatic control system. When all the gates are open, the dam lay in the river bed completely, which does not interrupt the river traffic and it is also good looking.
