On Fostering and Maintaining Elementary-school Students’ Interest in Learning English Abstract: As we all know, elementary education plays a very important part in one’s educational career. Nowadays, a growing number of English teachers find a lot of problems, which still exist in English teaching, especially in fostering and marinating the student’s interest under the new curriculum syllabus. It is very important for teacher to foster and maintain students’ great interest in learning English.
