Ideological and political quality is the spiritual backbone of all the teachers, which determines their political belief and tenet, restricts their moral rule and influences their working attitude and enthusiasm as well as the formation and development of their capabilities. In another word, the level of ideological and political quality directly affects the execution of education for all-round development together with the improvement of education quality. As is known, normal university students are reserve force of the teaching group in the future. A normal college student who has a vague reorganization and unclear political standpoint can not carry out effective ideological and political education on others. Therefore, how to improve the ideological and political quality of normal students has become one of important topics in normal universities. This thesis based on the current situation, focuses on the combination of theoretical research and an actual survey and explores this significant topic. First of all, it analyzes the ideological and political quality and current situations of normal students. Secondly, by the analyses of ideal and faith, value orientation and career choice, this thesis generalizes the new features of normal students’ concepts and stresses on the main problems at the present time.
