Teaching aims
Knowledge aims:
(1). The students can use different words, phrases and expressions about the topic.
(2). The students will know about how to organize a letter.
Ability aim:
The students will improve their abilities of writing.
Emotional aims:
(1). Arouse the students’ interest in writing.
(2). Develop the students’ qualities of overcoming difficulty and helping others.
Teaching importance and difficulty:Teach the students how to write a letter
Teaching methods: The 3-E teaching method (experiencing, exploring and expressing) and task-based teaching method
Learning methods: The cooperative learning and practice
Teaching aids: A multi-media and a blackboard
Teaching procedures
Step1. Lead-in
Present some Chinglish and emphasize the importance of writing.
A: Did you go traveling during the Spring Festival?
B: No, I stayed at home, because everywhere mountain people mountain sea.
A: You made much progress in the mid-term exam.Your parents must be very happy.
B: Certainly.They heart flower angry open.
[Purposes of design]:Arouse the students’ interest and lead the topic of the class.
Step2. Experiencing
1. The students read the writing material--Your American friend Mike met difficulty with Chinese learning and expected your advice.After reading, the students think about what they must consider before writing.
假如你叫李华,你的美国网友Mike通过e-mail告诉你他学汉语方面的困难:口语不好,听力差,写作能力最差,因此想放弃。请你回一封e-mail,给他提出一些建议,鼓励他继续学习。
你的建议:口语:尽可能练习,每天背常用语。
.听力:多听磁带、新闻和歌曲能提高听力水平。
写作:多阅读并做笔记,每天练习写,比如写日记等对写作技能有帮 助。此外,要对自己有信心。
